School Disco, Proms & PTA Events

Schooldiscos are great as it means everyone can come, so there’s no issues with parents with two children having to pick up and drop off children for different time slots, plus they allow the whole school community to get together.

Children’s discos offer the prospect of a few hours’ childcare to parents, although consider whether parents will be allowed to stay if desired. If you do this, limit it to one parent per family for the sake of numbers.

Many schools choose to host one disco per term, often aligning with seasonal celebrations like Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween or to mark the end of term.

Depending on your school’s size and the range of year groups, it may be more suitable to hold separate discos for each year group or key stage. This allows for a more tailored experience that suits the energy levels and preferences of different age groups.

For younger children, a shorter event—typically between 45 and 60 minutes—is usually ideal to avoid overtiredness. In fact, our research shows that PTA-run discos usually last between 45 and 90 minutes. You might also consider offering a party-style event instead of a traditional disco, as younger pupils can sometimes find loud music and lighting overwhelming.

The “prom” was originally an American practice, but it has made its way across the pond and has spread to secondary schools in the UK. Prom typically takes place at the end of the school year after GCSE or A-Level exams, this happens in Year 11 or Year 13. Prom is a fancy dance party where everyone who attends wears formal attire… and a Prom isn’t a prom without the right DJ reading the room and playing the right tunes!

Year 11 Prom

For your Year 11 prom, our DJ will help you create a playlist that reflects your taste—whether that’s chart hits, throwback anthems, R&B, grime, indie, or anything in between. You’re welcome to send us your song list ahead of time to guarantee your favourite tracks make the cut.

On the night, the DJ arrives with thousands of songs ready to play and will take live requests to keep the energy high and the dance floor packed.

Your DJ can match the tone of your event too—whether it’s suited and booted or something more themed, we’ll dress to impress and fit right in.

Year 13 Prom / Leavers’ Ball

Your Year 13 prom or leavers’ ball deserves a DJ who gets it. We’ll work with you to build a unique playlist that reflects your journey—mixing floor-fillers, party classics, new hits, and your personal favourites to make it a night to remember.

You can share your playlist with us in advance or just leave it to our experienced DJs who know how to read the room and keep the party alive. With thousands of tracks ready to go and the ability to take requests live, we’ll make sure everyone finds their moment on the dance floor.

From formal black tie to themed attire, your DJ will show up styled to match your night. Our goal? A packed dance floor and an unforgettable send-off.
